The 8-Way Formation Team continued intensive training to prepare for the first mini-tournament in the American state of Arizona and achieved high standing which marked the teams debut on the world stage.
In 2012 the team participated in the UAE International Championship. This was the largest International tournament the team had participated in and yet still placed highly and to great acclaim. Following this success the team continued to participate in an increasing number of international events.
In 2015 the 8-Way formation team achieved the first bronze medal at the Skydiving World Cup in the Netherlands, which was a major international success given the team’s recent founding. The team continued its success in majorcompetitions becoming a force to be reckoned with, battling some of the worlds best, and longest established teams for top standing in the field.
In competition, 8-Way formation skydiving consists of a team of 8 skydivers who form various formations in free fall after exiting an aircraft at 13000’. Within a span of 50 seconds, the number of formations created is judged for errors, counted and a point is given for each one.
