Formation skydiving is a skydiving event where multiple skydivers attach themselves to one another by grabbing each other’s limbs or by the use of “grippers” on their jumpsuit while free falling through the sky. The goal of this skydiving program is to build a formation of multiple divers arranged in a geometric pattern.
It is a team of paragliding consisting of 13 pilots with paramotor engines and parachutes to make formations of static and mobile performances, participating in regional, continental and global tournaments.
The State of Qatar attaches great interest at the official and popular levels to the sport of skydiving, to the point that it has become one of the most important permanent performances in official and popular celebrations, especially on National Day, which the country celebrates on the eighteenth of December every year.
The Canopy Formation Competition team was established in 2013 in Florida, the United States of America, where they were trained in parachuting, the basics of flight, and safety requirements. Three teams were formed in 2014within parachuting.
The accuracy team consists of 11 skydivers who aim to hit the desired target point, which scores zero points and has a diameter of only 2 centimeters, accurately by controlling the parachute from a height of 3500 feet, and to do a number of jumps collectively or individually to achieve winning, which represents the Qatar Skydive and Paramotor Committee of The Joint Special Forces participating in regional, continental and international competitions.
The Hot Air Balloon Sports Team has been established, and it will be dedicated to performing aerial displays and participating in international sports competitions. A hot air balloon is defined as an airship that is lighter than air, consisting of a large flexible envelope called the “balloon” (or “envelope”) that contains hot air or a gas lighter than air, which lifts it into the sky.
Pre 2010 Drones were usually associated with Military, Police and sometimes Movie-Making activities. However around 2010 drone manufacturers started to create smaller and more accessible aircraft, incorporating powerful motors with lightweight materials and adding in GPS, Stabilized Cameras, Precision Flight Control and more features.
