Canopy Formation
2 - Way Sequential
It consists of two parachutists making parachute formations with a videographer documenting the effort over eight rounds. The jump is performed from 7500 feet and must form within 30 seconds; points are awarded based the number of formations performed within a 60 second time period.
4-Way Sequential
Similar to the 2-Way sequential, 4-Way sequential consists of four parachutists making parachute formations with a videographer and forming within 30 seconds. 4-way formations, however, are performed from 9000-9500 feet and points are awarded based on the number of formations performed within a 120 second time period.
4 - Way Rotation
It consists of four parachutists and a videographer and must form within 30 seconds. With the rotation, however, they must successively rotate positions within the given 90 second allotted time from 9000’
Demonstration
Qatar’s Canopy Formation Demonstration Team was formed in 2013. Their purpose is to showcase their skills in creating large formations in the air at public events all over the world. Through demonstrating their skills in parachute flight, they help to showcase Qatar’s commitment to Air Sports and also promote their country in the eyes of the world.
