The Qatar Skydiving Team (Accuracy Landing team) is one of the most distinguished air sports teams in the world. It has achieved outstanding results during all of its global participation, and was able to face all the challenges related to this sport to raise the name of Qatar.

The Accuracy Landing team was established in 2010, and was quickly able to achieve many great results, most notably third place and a bronze medal in the International Dolomite Cup Championship in Italy with the participation of a large number of international teams at the team and individual levels. Since then, it has continued to greater glory, winning competitions, and appearing on podiums globally.

The Qatar Accuracy Team comprises of several groups, notably 2 Senior Teams, and 2 Junior Teams (20 Athletes in total) plus a support staff of 5, including an interpreter and a physiotherapist, as well as a Team Leader, a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach.

Accuracy Landing Competition

The Accuracy Landing Competition is considered the oldest, most traditional, and most popular discipline in the sport of skydiving. Accuracy is often considered the mother of all skydiving competitions owing to its history and tradition of worldwide participation.

Accuracy Landing Team

Each team consists of 5 skydivers who will perform 8 rounds during a given tournament, with 2 extra rounds reserved for semi-finals and finals. Each jump is done from an altitude of 1000m with the goal of landing as close as possible to a predetermined target. The distance from the middle of the target is measured (dead centre) and the best 4 results in each round are counted.  The ‘|Dead Centre’ is only 2cm in diameter and scores zero points, with each cm distanced from that point scoring 1 extra point.  The objective is to score the fewest number of points.

The score increases with distance from zero to 16, the object being to have the lowest score reflecting the shortest accumulated distance.

Individual Competition

Each competitors scores for every jump will be added. The Competitor with the lowest overall score will be announced as the winner of the Individual Accuracy Competition. The score increases with distance from zero to 16, the object being to have the lowest score reflecting the shortest accumulated distance.

Team Accuracy Competition

The best 4 scores of each team, on each jump will be added, The Team with the lowest score overall will be announced as the winners of the Team Accuracy Competition.

With the challenge of the game, the fierce competition, and the consequences that a single mistake can make, Accuracy Landing competitions are one of the most difficult, requiring focus and grace under pressure.
